PEOPLE ON PATROL
 ANNUAL REPORT

The citizen based patrol group called People On Patrol continued to be active throughout Kandiyohi County in 2007. Participating communities are Raymond, Prinsburg, Spicer and Pennock.

Each member completed 12 hours of training.  Training included report writing, basic first aid, personal safety, criminal and traffic laws, defensive driving, and use of the equipment.

In 2007, 60 members in the four communities had provided 24 volunteer hours including patrolling, training, and meetings.  The members patrolled many miles using their personal vehicles, on foot, and bicycles.
The purpose of the People On Patrol program is for members to observe and report any suspicious activity.  Ongoing training and equipment is provided by the sheriff’s office.

Respectfully submitted,

Deputy Shannon O’Donnell
