Water Meters

Tracking water use through the use of water meters is a common practice. The Green Lake Sanitary Sewer & Water District (GLSSWD) utilizes water meters to bill customers for both water and sewer usage.

If your water/sewer bill seems high, check for leaking toilets or a non-properly functioning valve in your water softener. Water meters typically run slower accumulating fewer gallons if they malfunction. All GLSSWD water meter readings (gallons used) are collected utilizing wireless technology.

Installing a second water meter for outdoor watering is beneficial because the usage is not subject to sewer use charges. Water meters can be purchased from the GLSSWD located at 14403 138th Avenue NE, Spicer, MN 56288.
