Intake Social Workers answer phone calls and meet with the general public to provide information and referral services regarding any and all services available to address identified needs.
Individuals needing Services can meet with an Intake Social Worker to complete an application for services.
The Intake Social Worker is also available to explain the reporting statutes, answer any questions regarding agency practices and services and discuss resources and strategies for individuals, families and community.
All Child Protection reports are taken by the Intake Social Worker.
Vulnerable Adults Reports should be made to the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) 844-880-1574 staffed 24 hours/day
Intake Social Workers are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm at 320-231-7800. On Call Social workers are available to take child protection reports and to address emergency situations. To reach the On Call Social Worker, call the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department at 320-235-1260. In case of an emergency situation, call 911.
