Training Requirements                 Contact Family Child Care Licensing
The following training is required for licensed family child care providers in Kandiyohi County. All licensed family child care providers need sixteen hours of training each year.

  - CPR and First Aid Courses (every two years)
  - Child Passenger Restraining System Training
    (every 5 years)

  - Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome
    (SUIDS) (annually)

  - Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) (annually)
  - Supervision and Safety (two hours annually)
  - Child Growth and Development/Behavior Guidance
    (every year)

  - Swimming Pool Certification (optional for
    pool owners only)
